The Farm Policies

Hours of Operation

  • Monday-Friday 8:00am-7:00pm
  • Saturday 8:00am-2:00pm
  • Sunday 2:00pm-5:00pm
  • Holiday operational hours are subject to change.
  • After Hours Service: There is a 30 minute grace period to pick up your pet(s) for an additional $25.00 fee. If you do not pick up your pet(s) within this grace period, they will be required to spend an additional night at the owner’s expense.

Reservations

  • Reservations are required for all services. No standing reservations.
  • Boarding reservations may be made up to 1 year in advance.

Communication

  • Please be aware that phone calls and emails are not answered after hours. All voicemails will be answered the following business day.
  • If your pet is staying with us overnight or on the weekends, please email reservations@thefarm21.com for any urgent matter. A teammate will respond as soon as possible. All other emails will be responded to the next business day.
  • We use a digital report card system to update pet parents during their pet’s stay. To ensure you receive these important updates your notification settings must be turned on. 
  • Pet parents must provide an emergency contact if they will be inaccessible during their pet’s stay.

Check In and Check Out

  • Upon arrival at the facility, a teammate will be at the front desk to greet you and there will be a paper check-in form to fill out.
  •  On the day of check out, a teammate will be at the front desk to greet you, check out your pet and retrieve them for you. 
  • Please call 15 minutes before arrival to the facility.

Health Requirements

  • All pets visiting the facility must be in good health and must not have had a communicable condition within 30 days of visit.
  • Pets that have had a recent surgery must be completely healed and free of stitches, staples, or sutures.
  • Pets who have been recently spayed/neutered can return to the facility after 14 days, or with a letter from the vet stating that they have been cleared for boarding.
  • Pet parents are responsible for notifying us of any and all health conditions.
  • We do allow senior dogs to board at our facility. Dogs over the age of 12 must be seen by a vet within 3 months of their boarding reservation to ensure they are in good health to board. A letter needs to be sent to us within that time frame.
  • All pets must be free of fleas and ticks for all services. If fleas and ticks are found, a treatment may be given at the owner’s expense.
  • We reserve the right to prohibit admittance for any reason including pets lacking proof of up to date vaccinations, pets displaying signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, pets with serious health conditions, aggressive or destructive behavior and/or any behavior that we deem a safety concern.

Vaccination Requirements

  • We must have updated vaccinations prior to check-in. We have two easy ways to submit vaccinations:
    • Upload the records to your Owner Portal
    • Email the records to reservations@thefarm21.com
  • Three Required vaccines are: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella. The Canine Influenza is highly recommended but not required.

Age Requirements

  • All pets must be at least 16 weeks old.
  • Exception for puppy training classes and sessions: no minimum age requirement.

Food Requirements for Standard Boarding

  • All dry food must be pre-bagged per meal or portioned out in bags no larger than gallon size. No large bags/containers of food will be allowed. Customers will be charged a food storage fee ($16) for not following this policy.
  • The following items are NOT allowed in our facility:
    • Raw meat products.
    • Anything that may be a choking hazard, such as rawhide, bones, and pig ears.
    • Glass containers of any kind.
  • Please only bring enough food and treats for the duration of your pet’s stay.

Medication

  • We will administer oral and topical medication only, no injections.
  • Medications must be labeled and separated from food.
  • A method for administering the medication (i.e pill pockets, cheese, etc.) otherwise there is a $2 daily administration fee for The Farm to provide it.
  • Please only bring enough medication for the duration of your pet’s stay.

Belongings

  • No personal pet belongings (beds, toys, dishes, etc.) will be allowed in the facility except food, medication, collars, harnesses, and leashes. We will provide bedding and toys to guests. This allows us to provide premium bedding and toy options while maintaining high sanitization standards, efficient service, and comfort for your pet.

Rates

  • Payment is due at time of service.
  • Boarding rates are charged per 24 hours of service. Additional hourly boarding rates may apply.
  • A credit card is required for all reservations. The card on file will be charged upon check-out.
  • A $50 deposit is required for all Boarding reservations. This deposit will be applied towards the final bill.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations can be made 48 hours prior to scheduled check-in. For cancellations before 48 hours prior to check-in, paid deposits will be refunded to the card on file. No-shows and cancellations made within 48 hours of scheduled check-in will forfeit their deposit.

Overdue Pick-Up Policy

  • Failure to notify us that you cannot pick up your pet(s) when scheduled will result in a $22 per day overdue pick-up fee. To avoid this fee, please contact us to update your scheduled check-out date.
  • There is a 30 minute grace period to pick up your pet(s) for an additional $25 fee. If you do not pick up your pet(s) within this grace period, they will be required to spend an additional night at the owner’s expense.

 

Holiday Policy

  • No check-in/check-out available on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
  • Check-in/check-out is available on the following holidays for a $60 holiday fee.
    • Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
    • During Holidays, the operational hours are subject to change.
